john covers himself in dad clothes and a(n occasionally) passable bedside manner in place of actual interest in communicating amicably with other human beings and people still manage to paint him as a popular guy loved by all who meet him i’m truly staggered

#literally i’m still amazed that people consider john to be a generally nice person#he’s standoffish and rude to strangers#he writes poetry to get into his girlfriends’ pants#he literally can’t remember one girlfriend from the next#and if he DOES happen to form an emotional connection with someone he expresses it by killing your enemies#and punching people in the nose#and getting prissy and difficult and snarky and jealous the second you look at another human being#and finds it unreasonable if you act in a remote similar way when he’s actually banging someone else#please someone tell me how any of these elements come together to create#a lovely likeable man#please i would really like to know#this isn’t even touching on the fact that he’ll use a woman as a rebound to the point of actually marrying her#despite the fact that he’s fully aware he’s never going to be the sort who’s happy settled down in a three bed house#with a wife and kids and a nice quiet life#like let’s overlook the part where mary’s an assassin let’s imagine that never happened for a second#and stare at john for a few moments#judging him#and his terse-at-best attitude towards his pregnant wife a month into their marriage#A+ husbanding from an upstanding chap#what i wouldn’t give to be married to a man like that eh???#a man who’s fully aware all he wants to do is go off and have adventures with the man he’s been obsessed with since the moment he met him#and marries me anyway to keep up his Completely Normal Middled Aged Straight Bloke persona#love that guy#what a guy#what a great guy#everybody loves him good old doc john
